When I went out on my own, I knew rejection would sting, but I was ready to let it teach me.

When I first decided to coach experts, I created a simple one-pager laying out how I could support them.

It was direct: too simple for some, too much for others, and just right for a few.

I sent it to over 25 people, simply asking for feedback.

Here’s what happened:

#1 The authors who said, “I want this; I want to work with you” were my ideal clients.

#2 The ones who pointed out areas for improvement became even better clients—giving me insights to strengthen my approach.

#3 And those who declined? They highlighted what didn’t resonate, and that was invaluable.

Each response refined my offer, my website, and, ultimately, Rising Authors.

I knew rejection was coming.

I knew my offer would sting in some places.

But the only way forward was to share it, let feedback roll in, and take every lesson as it came.

Sometimes the biggest wins come from taking the hit, learning from it, and using it to grow.

What’s one offer, idea, or project you’ve been holding back, just waiting to put out there?
