Stop doing this one thing that's hindering your growth on LinkedIn
Stop doing this one thing that's hindering your growth on LinkedIn if you're an author.
If you're using links to drive people to websites, articles, books, blogs, and so on, stop using direct links.
Here's why.
LinkedIn wants to keep as many eyes as possible on its feed.
When you post a link that directs people away from LinkedIn, that specific post may not reach your audience well.
If LinkedIn shares your post and people leave the platform, there's no growth for you.
So, what's the fix?
You've likely seen methods like posting the link in the comments, which is fine but still doesn't help the spread of your post.
Instead, I recommend attaching your blog link or website link to your profile page.
This way, people can visit your website and see that you're an authority in the space, sharing valuable content through your blog.
This is beneficial because LinkedIn wants to spread your message. Those interested can visit your profile, reach out, or access the article or content you're sharing.
They can click that link from your profile, showing LinkedIn that you are getting hits on your profile page which increases your authority and they will want to share your profile and posts with others.
This approach helps spread your message without being penalized for putting a link in your post.
This is why it's important to have an amazing website landing page and an active blog so when you send people to your online presence where they feel the premium you give.
