Transforming a Leadership Channel: A Journey from Concept to Monetization through Organic Marketing
I had an honest and real conversation. You know, the type where you're like, this person will either hate me after or hire me.
I didn't have much to lose, so I reached out and told him how I felt I could be of help with building a YouTube Channel and how he could benefit from it.
So, Back in July, I met up with Greg Giuliano.
He didn't know this at the time but I liked his leadership style and thought it needed to be out there more! I read his book The Next Normal and was intrigued with what we can do with it.
He gave me a shot to produce and grow his channel.
That meant a lot. And that opportunity jumpstarted Rising Authors in many ways. Talk about leadership in action!
At the starting line, Greg’s channel was in its early days, with just a sprinkle of subscribers and a podcast that was awesome yet under the radar.
I sketched out a blueprint and jumped right into the action. I hopped on a flight to Portland and in just one afternoon, Greg, the powerhouse that he is, nailed those initial 12 episodes.
Then came my ace, Alex, my brother Jordan, and his squad who recorded, spliced, and polished the videos, giving Greg's brand a total glow-up.
I dug into creating eye-catching thumbnails, honing titles, SEO, you name it.
Fast forward six months, and we’re on the brink of monetization. The channel's subscribers ballooned to 1800, raking in thousands of views, funneling traffic to Greg’s website, and spotlighting his top-notch coaching prowess.
The video here is a testament to our journey, and it’s a personal favorite. Greg’s knack for making leadership simple and practical just resonates with me.
Next week, I’m flying up to Portland to kickstart season 3, and I'm excited. Armed with two seasons of data, we’re all set to make this the best season yet.
This, my friends, is the power of organic marketing in full swing.
Picture this channel a year from now, a beacon for thousands of leaders seeking to make a dent in their organizations.
Though we still have much to learn and work on, the key has been consistency and launching videos every week.
I hope you enjoy the video and subscribe to the channel while you're at itI had an honest and real conversation. You know, the type where you're like, this person will either hate me after or hire me.
