Loose Ends Are Costing You Credibility—Here’s What to Do

I see so many experts and authors with so many loose ends, it's honestly scary.

I've unsubscribed from 10 newsletters today, because well, I haven't heard from those people in a while...

I get it, I’ve abandoned projects too—but here’s what I’ve learned about why that may not be awesome in the long run.

There was a time when I started things full of excitement—a blog, a newsletter, even a YouTube channel—only to let them sit, untouched and forgotten.

I convinced myself I was “too busy” or “needed a better plan.”

Sound familiar?

I see so many

My truth is, every abandoned project out there tells a story.

And not the one you want.

That blog that hasn’t been updated?

It says, “I don’t follow through.”

The channel with no new videos?

It whispers, “This isn’t important anymore.”

But here’s what changed for me when I paid attention.

I stopped seeing these things as failures and started treating them as opportunities.

Your online presence matters.

It’s how people perceive your expertise, your authority, and even your trustworthiness.

Leaving things half-finished sends a mixed message that you can’t afford—especially if you want to establish yourself as a thought leader.

So, here’s the challenge for you this week.

Pick one thing you’ve started but let slip.

Ask: Does this still align with my goals?

Commit to breathing life into it again—or letting it go, delete the thing with intention and move on.

Hoarding online random posts from years ago is pointless, unless you intend to repurpose it.

It’s not about doing everything perfectly.

It’s about showing up, consistently and purposefully.
