"You should write a book."

If you’ve heard this, you know the wave of self-doubt that follows:

Who am I to share my story?

Will anyone care?

Am I even qualified to talk about my experiences?

These doubts are relentless, especially for those of us with stories rarely told – like the refugee experience or being a first-gen professional.

Stories that need to be told by those who lived them.

When Juan Sosa reached out, he’d been wrestling with these questions for over two decades.

As a Latino leader in tech, he had something powerful to share – a key lesson that had shaped his journey.

But he’d been holding back, waiting for the “right” moment.

So, we went to work.

I flew to DC two days ago and we met up to do our deep dive workshop.

Together, we mapped out his story, crafted his message, and laid out a clear path to reach his audience.

In our hands-on sessions, we didn’t just create a book; we built a platform – a foundation for Juan’s voice to inspire thousands.

I developed a highly personalized, hands-on process through my new project to illuminate minority voices with The Garden of Wisdom Publishing.

For me, it’s never just about publishing a book, that's the start.

It’s about empowering voices that need to be heard – voices that bring depth, authenticity, and richness to our shared history.

If you’ve ever been told to “write a book” and felt doubt holding you back, that’s exactly why you should take the leap.

Your story is needed.

Writing your story isn’t just about being read; it’s about owning your journey and offering it as a guide to others.

In the coming months, I’ll be sharing pieces of Juan’s journey as we bring his story to life – one that will inspire countless Latino professionals in tech and beyond.

Cheers to pushing past doubt and embracing the power of your unique story.
