Everyone talks about “building an audience” – I do, too.
Everyone talks about “building an audience” – I do, too.
But what does that actually mean?
It’s easy to throw out terms like “engage” or “provide value,” but in reality, building an audience is about more than posting content and hoping people show up.
Here’s what it really looks like:
#1 Show up with purpose.
Whether you’re sharing insights, your journey, or hard-won lessons, keep your audience in mind. Give them a reason to care.
#2 Build trust consistently.
Be real and show up on the regular. Trust doesn’t happen overnight; it’s a slow burn that happens through consistency and value.
#3 Listen more than you speak.
Yes, share your voice, but make sure you’re paying attention to theirs, too. Your audience will tell you what matters to them – if you’re listening.
Building an audience isn’t just about gathering followers; it’s about creating a space where people see value in sticking around.
Last week during my Talk we took a break to do some screen printed posters. It's the little memorable things that tend to stick!
Happy Friday!
